Crown Point Qualifier #2

Jay County Robotics competed at the second Crown Point competition of the year.  It was held at Timothy Ball Elementary in Crown Point, Indiana.

7515B lead all Jay County Robotics teams with a record of 6-1-0 and qualified 4th.  1193A qualified in 8th place with a record of 5-2-0.  1193W qualified in 11th place with a record of 4-3-0.  1184A qualified 16th with a record of 3-4-0.  1193C qualified 19th with a record of 3-4-0.  7515A qualified in 24th place with a record of 2-5-0. 

All of the Jay County Robotics teams made the elimination round!  7515B partnered up with two teams from Plymouth High School and ended up being Finalists in the tournament, losing to the number two seeded alliance.  7515A partnered up with a team from Batavia, Illinois and Crown Point and lost in the quarter-final round.  1193A and 1184A partnered up with 1001C from Greentown and won the entire tournament from the second seeded position!  1193C and 1193W partnered up with a team from Lutheran High School in Indianapolis, they took their quarter-final round to 3 matches, but lost.  1193A and 1184A faced off against 7515B in the final round, where 1193A/1184A/1001C won in two matches. 

Jay County Robotics brought the VEXIQ teams with us this weekend.  11193 qualified 10th with a total score of 291 points, they made the elimination round and finished in 3rd place!  11194 qualified 19th with 169 points, they also made the elimination rounds and finished in 8th place.  The VEX IQ teams will compete at the Warren Central Qualifier #2 competition on February 21st. 

This was the last qualifying event that Jay Country Robotics planned to attend before State.  We will be competition at State on March 7th at Warren Central High School.  In the meantime, we will be practicing and making changes to the robots so that we can go and bring home the state title!
